Chemical Company provide Love2shop vouchers to revamp Long Service Awards.

As part of it's reward and recognition programme to increase loyalty and sense of value within it's workforce, a major chemical company looked to revamp it's long service recognition rewards.

Traditionally, after 25 years service employees had been given a gift catalogue containing the usual array of gifts and gold carriage clocks and attended an annual dinner gala. With the days of a job for life a thing of the past, the company conducted a poll amongst a segment of it's employees to see what they felt was an appropriate length of service to be rewarded and what award they would like.

It was revealed that staff felt 25 years was an unobtainable length of service for many and that the current awards were very old fashioned and would prefer to have the power to truly choose something themselves. However the idea of some kind of token to represent their length of service and the annual dinner was still very popular.

As a result, it was decided that employees should be rewarded at 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of service. With the previous gift being considered old fashioned, the company wanted to give it's staff a choice but a choice that was tangible and would be seen as a guilt free treat to mark their achievement. Therefore they decided to use the Love2shop multi store gift voucher complemented with a choice of single store vouchers. As well as providing a massive choice for individuals to treat themselves in any way they wish, the cost savings of not having an expensive catalogue produced could be passed on in the form of awards. Staff would also receive a congratulatory letter along with an invite to the ever popular awards ceremony.

Two months prior to their employment milestone, individuals would receive a letter with a form offering a choice of vouchers and a SAE with their payslip. Individuals would choose their preferred voucher, complete their home address and return it to Love2reward. At the beginning of their anniversary month, Love2reward would despatch their chosen vouchers in a bespoke 'Thank You' gift wallet, along with a personalised letter on letter headed paper and an invitation to the annual dinner provided by the client.
