Workers at the Burnham Memory Assessment Service have picked up

staff recognition in the form of a new award.
The service in the Burnham-On-Sea area aims to help dementia patients in the area, and it has been commended by the Royal College of Psychiatrists, which has awarded it with its Memory Services National Accreditation Programme, reports Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Carol Prichard, senior manager with the organisation, told the website: "Staff with the Burnham Memory Assessment Service can feel rightly proud of achieving this accreditation status award."
Ms Prichard added that the staff have worked "extraordinarily hard" and patients appreciate its "caring and professional standards".
The organisation's accreditation will be reviewed again in early 2014, meaning that workers will have to keep up their high level of service.
Thanks to the new accolade, the Burnham Memory Assessment Service will be able to boost its profile among patients, while the recognition will no doubt act as a boost to the morale of its workers.
