Fitness buffs to win gift vouchers
Monday, 18 August 2008
Workers and residents of Sandwell, West Bromwich, have the chance to receive gift vouchers if they participate in an Olympic-style health project run by the local council, it has been reported.

The drive will coincide with the end of the Beijing Games on August 24th, according to the Birmingham Mail.
By taking part in the scheme and improving certain aspects of their health through exercise and diet over three months, successful members will earn the gift vouchers.
Darren Cooper, cabinet member for adult services and health at Sandwell council, told the publication: "We can't all be Olympic athletes, but we can do our best to keep healthy and fit."
The programme will be operated in conjunction with the Sandwell Primary Care Trust and will be comprised of health checks, a questionnaire, guidance and general advice from professionals.
In related reward news, employees in the US are set to receive cash incentives for taking part in health-orientated research led by medical information provider Minnesota Community Measurement.
