Gig ticket incentives for community volunteers
Monday, 18 August 2008
A social enterprise which motivates people to get involved in community projects by giving them gig tickets has just announced two of its projects have reached full capacity of volunteers.

Orange RockCorps, which uses the slogan Give, Get Given to attract participants, works on urban transformation, by "rebuilding and regenerating" facilities and community areas, according to its official website.
Now its first projects with Envision - the young people's charity - and Tower Hamlets Cemetery will see a full turn-out of workers tidying and restoring certain areas of land, in return for entry to the "hottest gig of the year" at the Royal Albert Hall on September 26th, organised by Orange RockCorps.
Rapper Busta Rhymes is reported to be performing at the event, with more music acts yet to be confirmed, which will be posted on the website.
The organisation is encouraging more people to come forward for further projects for a chance to attend the exclusive concert.
London mayor Boris Johnson recently told the Independent he is "hugely impressed" by the initiative, adding how the concept is "a great example of how music can have a profoundly positive effect on society".
