Johnston Press offers extra day of annual leave
Thursday, 19 July 2012
Workers at Johnston Press have been handed an extra day of holiday.

This staff recognition acts as a way of rewarding workers for the commitment and hard work that has gone into relaunching titles at the company.
Employees at the business have also been informed that they will need to wait six months longer than anticipated for their pay review, resulting in none being completed until next year.
An email sent to staff read: "A decision has been taken to defer 2012 salary reviews by six months. This means that July reviews will be deferred to January and so on through the next 12 months which will effectively return review dates to their original position before the change in 2009."
Perks such as extra annual leave can have a significant effect on the morale of workers, as the recognition will enable them to realise the importance of their continued efforts.
