staff recognition, after receiving the Gold Investors in People (IiP) accolade.

Just three per cent of IiP winners are able to pick up the gold standard, while the college has also been honoured with "champion" status, meaning that other groups can ask it for help and advice, reports Guardianseries.co.uk.

Kevin Watson, principal of the college, told the news provider: "We try hard to make Leyton Sixth Form College a supportive and rewarding place to work and it is gratifying to know that our efforts have been recognised by such a prestigious national body."

Leyton College picked up the award at a ceremony in Central London.

News of the award comes after the Croydon Advertiser reported that a number of firms from the area have been honoured in a recent ceremony.

The Croydon Business Awards gave out accolades spread across 11 categories, including the overall business of the year gong, which went to SLE.ADNFCR-1706-ID-801370312-ADNFCR
