South Tyneside company collects Investors in People award
Friday, 20 July 2012
South Shields parts manufacturer Ford Aerospace has picked up the Investors in People gold standard.

It acts as staff recognition for bosses at the company, who have been dedicated to developing workers across all levels, reports the Shields Gazette.
The honour was awarded first time around by Improvement Development Growth Limited, which runs the initiative in the north-east.
Ford Aerospace showed that 50 per cent of its workforce is completing advancement training at any one time.
Mark Podmore, managing director of the company, said: "Attaining gold standard is an incredible achievement. It proves that Ford is committed to its workforce."
Mr Podmore went on to say that the award is an "excellent achievement" by all workers.
This honour will help to boost the company's profile, while also increasing morale among staff.
Potential new recruits may also be more likely to join the company now that it has been given the gold standard.
