UK firms are evaluating healthcare policies

British firms that are reviewing their

employee benefits packages are likely to be assessing the provision of their health benefits, research shows.
XpertHR's study has found that health benefits are among the most popular perks available to staff, while medical insurance is offered by nearly three-quarters of organisations.
It was also found that childcare vouchers are made available by almost nine out of ten employers.
XpertHR pay and benefits editor Sheila Attwood said: "Whether deciding to offer the best package to current and future employees, or to make cost and efficiency savings, many organisations are reviewing their benefits packages this year."
Ms Attwood noted that the focus of reviewing employee benefits is to either boost the value of current perks or find ideas for new ones.
Her remarks follow a study by Aon Hewitt, which found that the popularity of flexible employee benefits increased last year.
Seventy per cent of those questioned in the organisation's research already offered the initiatives, or are planning to.
