Virgin passengers can earn shopping incentives

Under a new incentive plan announced by Virgin Atlantic, passengers travelling from Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester airports until August 31st this year will get vouchers to redeem against purchases when they check-in online, it has been reported.
Passengers using the online check-in service will receive £10 off when they buy two or more selected perfumes offered as part of the airline's onboard Retail Therapy duty-free shopping range.
Airline representatives suggest this is an incentive for travellers to reduce the time it takes to check in at these airports.
Paul Dickinson, sales and marketing manager, said: "They simply hand over their luggage at the 'bag drop' desk and go straight through security, making the whole process much quicker and stress free for them."
Other discounts and rewards are offered at select retailers at Heathrow Airport to reward customer loyalty, ranging from ten per cent off sunglasses at Emporio Armani and a complimentary hand and arm massage with purchases at Jo Malone.
