Avoid 'tiered' levels of awards dependant on seniority or length of service.
Consider including previous employees, e.g. pensioners, in any scheme.
A token gift may be construed as 'tokenism'; it may be advisable to split the reward budget between a token item and a tangible reward such as a gift voucher.
Any gift must please a demographic ranging from the boardroom to the packing room.
